Laffey, Leitner & Goode LLC could not be more pleased to announce that it is going against the economic grain of 2020 and bringing Maura K. Woods onto its team as an associate attorney.
Maura is a 2020 cum laude graduate of Marquette University Law School. As a law student, Maura focused on litigation training, completing an actual jury trial from voir dire through verdict as a student practitioner with the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office. In addition to competing in moot court and mock trial competitions, Maura was also a member of the Pro Bono Honor Society at Marquette. You can see why LLG wanted to hire this future superstar. We like self-starters.
Before attending law school, Maura obtained her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Maura had a revelation that instead of becoming an expert witness and answering questions, she’d rather be at counsel table asking them.
LLG Managing Partner, Joseph S. Goode, says “Maura is an excellent addition to our relentless team of trial lawyers. She is our first hire right out of law school, and we are excited to partner with Maura in her growth and development as a trial lawyer from the ground up. Her background as a forensic psychologist will come in handy assisting LLG, its clients, and her own navigation of the legal profession.”
Please join LLG in welcoming Maura to the firm.
