Leitner had the great honor and privilege to interview, and moderate an audience Q&A with, legendary keyboardist, arranger and producer Bob James today at Sam’s Place Jazz Café. The event was part of the festivities surrounding the Fresh Coast Jazz Festival, which returns to the Pabst Theater Friday and Saturday.
Bob and Mark’s hour-long discussion touched on a wide array of topics from Bob’s creative process to his feelings on being one of the most sampled artists in hip hop. The room was packed and the conversation was filled with legendary tales and unique insights from a true American treasure.
