Laffey, Leitner & Goode LLC Managing Partner Joseph S. Goode has been elected President of the Dane County Humane Society’s (“DCHS”) Board of Directors.
DCHS is an open admission animal shelter based in Madison, Wisconsin whose mission is to save healthy and otherwise treatable animals who come into its care. DCHS maintains an adoption-guarantee program, ensuring that all healthy cats and dogs and those with treatable medical or behavioral problems find new homes.
Goode has long been a champion of our four, three, two, and no-legged fuzzy, feathered, and scaly friends. From his robust Animal Law practice at LLG to his charitable work for DCHS, Joe, along with his wife Dina, their canine Junior Associate Greta, and Senior Partner cats Duke and Audrey work tirelessly for the cause of our animal friends, both inside and outside the courtroom.
“I am honored and proud to succeed Cathy Holmes and will strive to continue Cathy’s efforts to shepherd and encourage the great work done by DCHS’s incredible staff and volunteers. Over the last ten years on this board, I have had the privilege to see DCHS’s mission in action and I hope myself to positively impact thousands of animals and their new human companions in the future. With terrific colleagues on the board, the future is bright as we continue to assist the shelter in fulfilling its mission of ‘Helping People Help Animals’.”
thank you Joe. Rember there will be a big heard of animals waiting to see you when you go to heaven. God Bless Wally
