Laffey, Leitner & Goode LLC Founding Partner Jack Laffey has been named this year’s recipient of the DRI Tom Segalla Excellence in Education Award.

The DRI Segalla Education Award honors a member of DRI whose contributions through legal scholarship exemplify the highest educational standards of the DRI organization and further its mission of improving the skills of the defense practitioner.

DRI is the leading international organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel, which focuses on providing access to resources and tools for attorneys striving to provide high-quality, balanced, and excellent service to their clients.

Laffey has been a DRI member since 2006 and has served as the Chair of the Law Institute of DRI since 2016. The Law Institute is charged with overseeing and shepherding DRI’s vast educational offerings. On learning of the award, Laffey said:

“My involvement as both a member and in the leadership of DRI has been one of the most rewarding professional experiences of my career. To be acknowledged by an organization and by individuals that I hold in great esteem is a tremendous honor.”

Laffey will receive this award alongside other DRI award winners at the 2018 DRI Annual Meeting scheduled to take place in San Francisco in October.
