Associate (4-6 Years)
Laffey, Leitner & Goode, LLC, the leading litigation-only boutique law firm in Wisconsin, is seeking an associate with 4 to 6 years of experience to join its team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The candidate must have strong writing, analytical, and oral communication skills. To be considered, candidates must hold a J.D. from an ABA-approved law school with excellent academic credentials and must be admitted to and in good standing with the State Bar of Wisconsin. Applicants with experience in complex business and tort litigation preferred. Ability and desire to work as part of a team is essential. Our ideal candidate will be motivated, eager to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and must demonstrate a passion for litigation. LLG is a small but high energy firm with a national client base located in Milwaukee’s Third Ward. This position offers a generous salary and benefits package. Administrative Clerk/Accounting Assistant
Job Purpose: Provide Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing assistance as directed by Controller or other administrative staff. Be the public face of law firm via front desk reception,
answering central phone line, and interacting with firm’s external constituents (clients, vendors, and other guests). Manage and maintain office systems and supply inventory. Assist with administrative overflow as directed.
Job Duties:
- Prepare Accounts Payable entries, verify receipts, and record in financial system.
Complete expense reports for professional staff. - Process monthly Accounts Receivable invoicing at direction of attorneys and Controller. Work with attorneys to ensure invoice accuracy and send invoices to clients.
- Engage with firm’s external constituents as first greeter in reception.
- Answer firm telephone and route calls.
- Complete daily deposit. Record cash receipts in financial system and deposit checks into the appropriate bank account. Process credit card payments.
- Proactively and timely manage inventory, and order office supplies for copy center and staff. Maintain organization of file room and copy center. Monitor kitchen supplies and employee snacks and purchase replacements as required/requested.
- Coordinate office service needs with building management, cleaning crew, plant staff, and other service vendors, including regularly scheduled services and acute, emergent services as they arise.
- Ensure operation of office equipment by completing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs as necessary.
Open and distribute mail daily in conjunction with our administrative staff. - Assist administrative team with coordinating marketing events and company events.
- Answer and direct inquiries from clients, guests, and other firm constituents.
- Prioritize, track, and follow up in writing on all delegated assignments.
- Work as positive member of team to accomplish group firm’s goals on behalf of all clients.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and personal computer proficiency.
- Efficient typing skills.
- Schedule is 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday–Friday.
- Must be willing to work in extraordinary circumstances on weekends and/or later at night as needed by office professionals.
- Interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Follow through on delegated tasks and communication of completion.

Required:
1-2+ Years of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management.
