Amanda E. Melrood



Amanda started her career clerking for a Wisconsin circuit court judge in Milwaukee, giving her insight into the inner workings of a courtroom, and litigating catastrophic loss cases at a national firm, giving her experience in large, multi-state cases. As a fourth generation attorney, Amanda learned at a young age the importance of committed advocacy and the relentless pursuit of honest, equitable solutions. Law practice is ever-changing, and Amanda’s broad knowledge and ability to use cost-effective technology safely guides clients through this sometimes unruly landscape.


Representative Experience

  • Assisted in litigating complex, multi-year catastrophic loss and wrongful death case, winning partial summary judgment and achieving comprehensive settlement for Oklahoma propane distribution client.
  • Defended Wisconsin design and construction firm in construction defect and breach of contract action.
  • Achieved multiple successful settlements in Wisconsin motor vehicle and personal injury actions.
  • Member of litigation team in multi-state construction defect action.
  • Assisted in winning summary judgment for Wisconsin construction contractor client in plaintiff’s small claims construction. Achieved successful settlement following plaintiff’s de novo review.

Amanda is actively involved in the Milwaukee community, exploring what it has to offer and ways to give back. When not at work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband Jordy, their son, and their two rescue animals. Amanda and her family live in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee. Amanda previously volunteered at the Wisconsin Humane Society and the Riverwest Food Pantry, which works to alleviate food insecurity. In her spare time, Amanda loves to knit, garden, and ride her bicycle.
